    Fri 25 Nov 2022

The children were entertained last Friday by a special visit from Jeff the Lion who had a gift to give us! Mr Lewis and Jeff from Stafford Lions presented us with a beautiful set of books based around the theme of the environment. Mrs Wilde was so pleased- they will look fabulous in the new Geography room! A big thank you to all at Stafford Lions.

  • Sunday Mass & Children's Liturgy Groups

    Mon 21 Nov 2022

Sunday Mass times in Stafford are:

St Patrick's RC Church at 9am

    St Anne's RC Church 10am

    St Austin's RC Church 11am

Both St Patrick's and St Austin's have a children's liturgy group, this enables the children to go out during Mass to access the Gospel message at an age appropriate level should you wish them to, they then join you again after the Gospel for the remainder of Mass. All children and families' welcome.

  • Reverse Advent Calendar

    Mon 21 Nov 2022

A Message from Mrs C Doust School Parent Governor

This Advent, starting in school from 2nd December, each class will be using a Reverse Advent Calendar in order to create a Christmas Hamper of treats for those in our local community who will struggle this Christmas. As you are aware during Harvest each year, we collect food items for our local church food bank at St Austin's Catholic Church so we wanted to extend this to include a Christmas donation. Each day the Reverse Advent Calendar in class will ask a child to either bring an item to put into the hamper or create a card or decorate the box or say a prayer. So, if your child comes home and says, 'I'd like to bring in a box of mince pies' or ' I need to write a prayer' you will know why! If you are able to give more than one item, we will certainly be happy to make up other hampers but we are aiming for one hamper from each class as a joint offering. Suitable treats include: mince pies, Christmas pudding, tin/carton of custard, Christmas cake, a selection box, biscuits, chocolates, tinned fruit, tinned fish, tinned pies, packet of stuffing, cranberry sauce, crisps, peanuts, popcorn, crackers, pickled onions. Thank you so much for your support with this. Any questions, please ask.

  • Reception Home Learning

    Fri 11 Nov 2022

The children in Reception have enjoyed their
learning so much that they have been extending
their learning at home. Well done to Storm for
making the brick house from the Three Little Pigs
story, she even tried to blow it down with the
hairdryer. Leon made a horse statue with the
conkers and a leaf collage using things he had
collected on an Autumn Walk. We love to see your home learning!

  • Early Years and Nursery

    Fri 11 Nov 2022

Our wonderful children in Early Years and Nursery have been learning about Remembrance. The children have been creating artwork, some of which are decorated with poppy seeds that can be grown at home, watching special stories and saying prayers. They also sat quietly together to remember the people who sadly died and who are now in heaven with God. Our children make us so very proud.
