Year 1 are really enjoying ‘Finn’s Reading Challenge’ and are trying hard to read lots at home and fill their marble jars. It is already becoming a challenge to choose Reader of the Week.

Year 5 had a great trip out to Blessed William Howard, where they were able to experience coding using a micro bit! The children really enjoyed the transition visit and will look forward to more in the future!

Year 6 had an action packed day out at Packington Farm. They took part in a variety of team building activities and enjoyed great success with the ‘Den Building’ challenge. Fantastic effort!

This week the children have been learning all about their place in nursery and the wider school community. They have explored the indoor school building and the outdoor environment. Our children met special people in school too. We are very proud of how our children have settled together as a group. Well done to you all.

SPORTING SUCCESS – AGAIN!

Congratulations to our two rounders teams who represented the school this week and came first and second!
This year we have won an incredible 3 trophies – we have achieved ‘the treble’ just like Manchester City – although I’m not sure we can quite stretch to the open top bus tour but we certainly feel just as proud. Well done to all our children and thank you to our staff and parents for supporting.

Diocesan Plan/Three Parishes

All are very welcome to our next meeting at Blessed William Howard Catholic High School on Tuesday 27th June at 7.00 p.m.
At the meeting on the 27th there will be a Presentation on the Faith Life of our Schools and discussion on how we can work and pray together to implement the Diocesan Plan.Prayerful Congratulations to Bishop Stephen Wright as this week it was announced that Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle. Bishop Steven is a past pupil of the school and we have been blessed to have him visit the children in Year 6 this week as part of their Confirmation preparation. Bishop Steven will be Confirming 5 children on July 2nd .
