Autumn 1
Numbers to 5
Counting objects accurately – ensuring 1:1 correspondence (one number for each object)
Look at times and routines of the day.
2D shapes (square, rectangle, triangle, circle, oval and diamond)
3D shapes (cuboid, cube, sphere, pyramid and cone)
Using five frames.
Autumn 2
Recap on numerals 1-5.
Know what is 1 more than a number to 5 – e.g. 1 more than 4 is 5.
Know what is 1 less than a number to 5 – e.g. 1 less than 3 is 2.
Ordering numbers to 5.
Naming 2D and 3D shapes
. Starting to add 2 groups of objects together (start writing adding number sentences if capable)
